| Notes when administering the tool |
The BDI may be administered by a trained research assistant for written completion by the adolescents; however, the sample population’s literacy rate should be taken into account in future studies. All items on the inventory are scored from 0-3 and summed with equal weight, giving a maximum score of 63. A cut-off score of 18 points is advised. |
